Nigeria: DJ Cuppy features Stonebwoy on Karma

‘Karma’ is available for streaming and download here. The song was produced by Killertunes and is the second single off her upcoming debut album Original Copy.

“'Karma' is a song that really brings out a different side of me” DJ Cuppy said. “It’s a song that allows me to express myself in a sensual, confident and playful way. This record is so special because it was made during an unplanned trip to Accra. Sometimes, you just have to go with the flow!”

Stonebwoy said collaborating on the song was “nothing but good vibes". He also said he was excited for the public to finally hear it.

On the single, DJ Cuppy demonstrates her versatility and musical prowess, exchanging endearments with her Ghanaian counterpart over a thumping, but playful dancehall rhythm.

Original Copy, which features 12 songs, is due for release on 21 August. The album features such artists as Nonso Amadi, Teni, Rema, Ms Banks and Seyi Shay, among others.

Last month, DJ Cuppy released her debut single ‘Jollof on the Jet’, taken off the upcoming album. Other songs by DJ Cuppy include ‘Gelato’, ‘Vibe’ and 'Abena'.

Born Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, DJ Cuppy last month signed a recording deal with Platoon, a London-based artist services company.
