Nigeria: PapaRaZzle to share sophomore album on 26 September
London-based Nigerian Afro-fusion artist PapaRaZzle will release his second album, Do You Believe in Soulmates? (Vol. 1), on 26 September through Vydia. The project follows his recent milestone of surpassing half a million monthly listeners on Spotify.
The 10-track album, which PapaRaZzle wrote and recorded himself, explores the idea of soulmate connections through themes of love, heartbreak, patience and acceptance. Drawing on influences from 1990s R&B, Afro-soul and contemporary Afrobeats, the record is structured as a narrative journey, moving from longing to companionship and closure.
Songs include ‘Feelings Everytime’, ‘You and Me’, ‘The Wait’ and ‘Until the End’, alongside reflective pieces such as ‘Oxygen’ and ‘Healer’. The closing track, ‘Guns and Roses’, broadens the theme of soulmates beyond romance to include friends and family.
The production features contributions from J4F4R, Jaemally Beatz, HBeat Pro, Nahz Rashid and Kryptian Icon. Together, they blend Afro-fusion, tropical rhythms and R&B textures around PapaRaZzle’s vocals and songwriting.
“The project asks a timeless question: what does it mean to truly find your other half?,” PapaRaZzle said. “A soulmate isn’t always about romance – sometimes it’s about the people who anchor you, push you, or arrive in your life at the right time.”
PapaRaZzle, who was born in Nigeria and is now based in London, has built a reputation for merging Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall, rap and pop. His work has been recognised by outlets such as MTV, BBC 1Xtra and Wonderland, and he has amassed more than 10 million global streams. His singles ‘You and Me’ and ‘Sunse and You’ reached the iTunes R&B Top 10 in several European countries, while ‘Angel’ charted in Malawi’s Shazam Top 100.
In addition to recording, he has performed across Europe, with shows in London, Paris and Istanbul.
Do You Believe in Soulmates? (Vol. 1) will be available on major streaming platforms from 26 September.
