Nigerian Entertainment Awards: Full list of winners
The Nigerian Entertainment Awards took place on Saturday 25 November at the Symphony Space Peter Sharp Theater in New York. The night saw Davido emerge the big winner, taking the awards for Afropop Male Artist and Best Single for his hit song ‘If’.
As with a number of other award ceremonies this year, Davido had been up against Wizkid in a number of categories. While he picked two awards, his rival, who was absent at the event, did not win any.
Rapper Olamide also received two awards, his coming in the Best Album and Best Rap Act categories. He closed the ceremony with a performance at an event attended by celebrities including Seyi Shay, Dremo and ID Cabasa.
Olamide's win of Best Album means he has now taken that award two years in a row after winning for The Glory in 2016.
Now in its 12th year, the Nigerian Entertainment Awards recognises entertainers across several fields.
