Nigerian producer Raytheboffin drops debut single
Nigerian producer Raytheboffin has released his debut single ‘Don’t Kiss and Tell’ featuring singer Julrity. The track is available for download and streaming on all major digital platforms.
A dreamy alté offering, ‘Don’t Kiss and Tell’ is Raytheboffin’s debut single and follows his recent feature with Joel Prodigee on ‘Fist Up’.
Raytheboffin is one half of music duo Riverays, which is behind an eponymous 2019 EP. Raytheboffin boasts a music style generally characterised by widespread experimentation and a focus on self-discovery.
‘Don't Kiss and Tell’ heralds Raytheboffin’s forthcoming debut EP Run Boy, Run on London- and Johannesburg-based record label Outer South. The EP is a “depiction of his journey so far and his reason to keep on going,” the label said. “Despite many songs on the project having significant time between creation Ray’s project still maintains the same soundscape and messaging with a range of topics being explored in each song.
“As much as Ray needs to tell his own story he finds it equally important that those contributors to his story and universe are artists that can share and understand his vision; this is mainly why most collaborations were with artists Ray had a good relationship with.”
Raytheboffin traces his love for music back to the age of nine, when his music teacher offered to teach him the guitar. He is also credited with co-conspiring the Petal Scents EP with fellow Nigerian artist Yinoluu.
