Odumodublvck enlists Tiwa Savage on new 100 Million track
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck today shared his new single titled ‘100 Million’. The record is available for streaming and download across all major digital platforms.
The braggadocious track published via Native/ Def Jam, is steered on the hip hop sub-genre drill and features popstar Tiwa Savage, and follows the arrival of EZIOKWU, his fifth mixtape, last year.
Ahead of the release, the duo previewed the song to rave reception at the Obi’s House event at the Hard Rock Cafe in Lagos. The attendant visuals for ‘100 Million’, released on the same day, were helmed by Los Angeles-based director Shot By Starks.
Among 2023’s biggest breakout stars and Nigeria’s most streamed acts, Odumodublvck was, in January, included in Spotify’s list of artists to watch for 2024. The artist, whose sound blends drill, grime and Afrobeats, shot to international acclaim via ‘Declan Rice’ single soon after securing a deal with American record label Def Jam Recordings.
For Tiwa Savage, a leading Afrobeats name, the collaboration comes on the heels of the announcement of her debut feature film Water and Garri in January. The film, which borrows its title from the singer’s 2021 EP of the same name, is slated for release later this year on Amazon Prime Video and will be available in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Meanwhile, Odumodublvck is set to embark on a joint North American tour with fellow Nigerian rapper Shallipopi next month. Dubbed ‘Nigeria’s Most Wanted’, the tour, which concludes on 27 May, will see the musicians take the stage in nine cities, including Minneapolis, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Maryland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and Dallas.
