Open call: BASA Supporting Grants in SA
Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) has opened applications for its Supporting Grants Programme.
Funded by South Africa’s Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, applications will undergo evaluation based on various criteria, including the scale and impact of the project, artistic merit, feasibility, contribution to social cohesion, and the proposed project’s reach in relation to the available funding. Preference will be given to projects that offer tangible benefits to their business sponsor(s). As a membership organisation, BASA will prioritise projects where both the arts organisation and business sponsor(s) are BASA members.
Interested partners are encouraged to submit a concise, one-page formal letter of interest, providing essential details such as the project name, a brief description, the name of the business sponsor, and the nature of the sponsorship being offered (cash, in-kind, or both, with a specified rand value).
This letter should be accompanied by the business sponsor’s letter of endorsement. Eligible applicants will subsequently receive an invitation to complete a comprehensive online application.
The deadline for letters of interest for the current round of applications is 22 January 2024.
For detailed criteria and guidelines, interested parties are invited to visit the BASA Supporting Grants page here. For inquiries, applicants should contact Sipho Mthiyane at sipho@basa.co.za.
