Open call: Mahogany Music Fund for artists
Applications are ongoing for the first round of the Mahogany Music Fund, which supports early-stage artists.
The initiative is the brainchild of music brand Mahogany, which is known for its Mahogany Sessions YouTube channel. It offers grants of up to £2 500 (about $3 500) to help artists create and promote their music over the next 12 months. It follows the recent launch of the Mahogany Songs distribution arm.
This funding opportunity is available to artists either currently releasing music through Mahogany Songs, the company’s distribution arm, or those planning to do so in the future. A panel of industry experts will select up to 10 artists to receive these grants, along with tailored support from Mahogany’s experienced team.

Mahogany founder and CEO Mark Murdoch said: “With rising costs affecting every aspect of the music industry, we believe it’s our duty to stand by our artists and provide as much support as possible during these challenging times.”
“Financial support is a huge issue for most independent artists, especially those from working-class backgrounds,” Mahogany’s label and marketing manager, Dom Wallace, said. “We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to help artists overcome these barriers.”
Mahogany managing director James Gaster added that the grant “demonstrates our commitment to delivering real value and opportunities for the artists we support.”
