Open call: Youth To The Front Fund 2024
Creatives around the world are invited to submit applications for the 2024 edition of the Youth To The Front Fund’s the Creatives Frontliners programme.
Applicants can apply for up to $20 000. The funding is designed for creatives who seek to:
- Provide funding and resources that support exhibitions, bold movements, and programme initiatives addressing systemic inequalities.
- Cultivate a community of creative organisers and cultural storytellers.
- Support creatives and collectives through cross-networking and collaborations with critical thought partners in arts and social justice.
This year, the Youth To The Front Fund is growing to uplift, support and fund more artist collectives, cultural storytellers, creative organisers and heritage keepers who are using their voice and the power of art to address systemic injustice and shift narratives in local and global communities.
The call is for creatives and collectives in the sectors of:
- Music: Songwriting, production, DJing, etc.
- Visual arts: Painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, filmmaking, media, digital art, illustration, graphic design, graffiti, street art, fashion design, etc.
- Performance arts: Dance, theatre, experimental, etc.
- Writing and literary arts: Poetry, prose, spoken word, etc.
- Creative changemaking: Curation, cultural storytelling, creative organising, cooking and culinary arts, folk arts, etc.
- Holistic healing, community spaces and sports: Holistic health practices, integrative medicine, wellness, mind-body therapy, community sports programmes, youth sports development, inclusive sports initiatives, etc.
The call is designed for projects that focus on the following pillars in their approach:
- Arts and social justice
- Civics and community engagement
- Education equity
- Climate justice
“We warmly welcome you to apply if you are a creative or collective under 30 years old with work centering on People of Colour (BIPOC), and at the forefront of fighting systemic racism, inequality, inequity, and injustice,”
