Pulse Music Video Awards 2017: Full list of winners
The third edition of the Pulse Music Video Awards went down on 8 December at the Carnivore grounds in Nairobi. The night’s big winners were Willy Paul and Le Band who walked away with two awards each.
King Kaka and The Band Beca, who were given nods in two categories, didn’t carry home a single award. However, it was no surprise that Fena Gitu’s 'Party Nation' won the Best Collaboration of the Year award. The night’s surprise act was Jamaican artist Glen Washington.
Sending their tribute via video, Grammy award-winning band Morgan Heritage praised the awards show. Lauding the event, the band hoped to see the Pulse Music Video Awards grow to the level of the Grammys.
Although they couldn’t be at the event, they expressed their support for Kenyan artists, adding that they feel like part of the awards.
Jamaican artist Cecile, who was in the country to perform at a different concert, stated that such events ensure the growth of the music industry.
