Ruger to perform at Just Energy Transition Concert 2023 in SA
Nigerian musician Ruger has been named as one of the headline acts at this year’s Just Energy Transition Concert scheduled to take place at Cabo Beach Club in Cape Town, South Africa, on 16 October.
Now in its third year, the Just Energy Transition Concert is an initiative of the African Energy Chamber (AEC) that blends the universal language of music with a pressing need for sustainable energy solutions. With the continent grappling with energy crises, the event serves as a beacon of awareness, rallying individuals from diverse backgrounds to unite under the banner of positive change.
Known for his Afro-dancehall style and chart-topping hits like ‘Bounce’ and ‘Dior’, Ruger has been making waves across the global music scene since his debut.
AEC's commitment to creating meaningful impact through music and discourse is evident through the concert’s history. Other headline acts include Kamo Mphela (South Africa), Spyro (Nigeria), Chike (Nigeria), DJ Dollar (Senegal).
The Just Energy Transition Concert promises a night of entertainment and also serves as a platform for critical conversations. By weaving music into discussions about Africa’s energy landscape, the concert becomes a catalyst for change, igniting dialogue about sustainability, empowerment, and the urgent need for a just energy transition.
