MTV Base has announced that South African hip hop artist Cassper Nyovest and Tanzanian musician Ali Kiba will be performing at the sixth edition of the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) on Saturday 22 October in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Sill basking in the success of his ‘Fill Up the Dome Concert’, Cassper and Ali will join previously announced performers Yemi Alade, Nasty C and Babes Wodumo at The Ticketpro Dome.
Unofficial reports say US artist Alicia Keys is among the international acts to headline the event which is aimed at celebrating African talent. The ‘A Woman’s Work’ singer has recently worked with the South African DJ Black Coffee.

The awards will include two pre-ceremony Road to MAMA events featuring MAMA nominees and DJs in Durban and Lagos. Another much-anticipated element of MAMA 2016 will be a music industry workshop for aspiring musicians held on the day before the awards (21 October).
