SA: Msaki announces Delta Love Experience concert series
South African musician Msaki has announced a series of concerts that will be staged in Cape Town, Johannesburg and East London from 23 February to 19 March.
The Delta Love Experience will feature a themed sonic experience of Msaki’s catalogue, which will include material from her award-winning albums and collaborations. The tour takes its name after the second track of her Platinumb Heart Open album. Msaki will be joined by support acts Thesis ZA, Leomile and NeahtYah.
“Honest, open and tender, the show leans into the metaphysical, romantic and powerful meanings of ‘delta’, the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet, a code word in communication, denoting variation, change and difference in mathematics – and an openness to change in spirituality,” a press release about the concert series says.
“The Delta Love Experience is part of this journey, acting as a bridge to Standard Bank Young Artist, work at the National Arts Festival as her final show before her hiatus. Acknowledging different shapes of love, Msaki flames the courage it takes to surrender to love in flux, alongside artists whose work explores the same, in vulnerable sensitivity.
“Each show promises to be a unique sonic and visual experience, with diverse band line-ups across the three cities, and the artist has only one instruction for the audience: ‘come tender’.”
Tickets to Msaki’s Cape Town, Johannesburg and East London concerts can be purchased here, here and here, respectively.
Meanwhile, ‘Come In’, Msaki and Tubatsi Mpho Moloi’s third single off their upcoming album Synthetic Hearts, dropped on 10 February ahead of the collection’s 10 March release (listen to the track below).
