SA rapper Lucasraps releases second album 031 To The World 2.0

The project is his second after his debut album 031ToTheWorld, which hit the streets when he was announced as the first signee of Def Jam Recordings Africa in 2021. Featured artists include AKA, Nasty C, Nadia Nakai, Blxckie, YoungstaCPT and Geek Fam.

Prior to the release, Def Jam Recordings Africa hosted a listening session which was broadcast live on YFM by Ayanda MVP.

“It’s my turn,” Lucasraps wrote on social media. “I appreciate the love and support all the features have shown me , the willingness to work and the drive they had when recording these tracks.”

Lucasraps, born Lucas Duncan Malong in Cape Town, burst onto the music scene in 2016 with his debut single ‘Ammo’ featuring DJ Maphorisa. He has made appearances on a number of projects that solidified his name as an act to look out for. He has also worked with Dr Peppa, Riky Rick and Chang Cello.
