SAMAs 2021 announce categories for public voting

Leading in the Record of the Year category with two nods apiece are MFR Souls and Blaq Diamond. Nasty C also leads the Music of the Year category with two nominations.

Kabza De Small secured two nominations with ‘eMcimbini’ and ‘Lorch’ in both categories while Sun-El Musician’s ‘uBomi Abumanga’ was nominated for Record of the Year. Collectively, Kabza De Small leads the nominations with eight nods. Sun-El Musician is sitting at six nominations while Bucy Hadebe and Nasty C are at four and three nominations, respectively.

“We applaud the nominees in the Record of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories,” RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi. “This is an incredible line-up of artists who have worked hard to earn their nominations. They are a reflection of what the nation embraced and moved to in the past year. We wish them well and urge the fans and supporters of the SAMAs to vote for their favourite.”

The two categories are open for public voting. To vote, fans can dial *120*49495# and select the number that corresponds with their favourite nominee.
