T. Smallz on European tour
Gambian artist T. Smallz is currently on a European tour.
The reggae-dancehall singer, whose upcoming album Dunj Bena is scheduled for release on 16 December, has played Norway, Sweden and Finland concerts.
The T.Smallz tour began on 3 August. It was organized by the Gambian Association based in Oslo for the 30th anniversary of the Gambian Cultural Week. On 19 August, he performed in Goteborg, Sweden. The following day he performed in Helsinki, Finland—supported by Masta Lion Promotion, a Gambian DJ and promoter based in Finland.
“Norway was remarkable for real and they were the very ones that invited me for the Oslo Gambian Cultural Week,” he said in an interview with Voice Vibes. “One love to the association! The performance was well appreciated by the people because even before I updated my fans, it was all over Facebook. So, that shows how much they appreciated it.”
He added, “In Sweden, I was at the Culture Clash Festival, which is basically a Swedish festival. I had the opportunity to perform with DJ Miss Jen from the Rough Lynx. This was also well attended by Gambians. I am honored, and appreciate everyone that came up to cheer me.
“My last performance was in Finland. It was more of Gambians this time but sure with some Finnish people as well. Big up Masta Lion for putting it together even though it was a bit prompt. He’s one guy we need in the industry, no doubt.”
The tour will come to an end in October. T.Smallz said his management is “currently negotiating with promoters for more bookings in Italy, Spain, German and Denmark.”
Ahead of his album, fans, T.Smallz said, should expect “more videos, more positive songs, more collaboration and more performances.”
He concluded with a message to his listeners: “To my fans keep believing in me for I believe in you all. Love my fans to death!”
