Tanzania: DJ Seven Worldwide shares fourth album Let Love Lead
Tanzanian DJ Seven Worldwide has released his fourth studio album Let Love Lead.
The 14-track project, now available for streaming and download, features collaborations with some of the biggest acts in the East Africa region including Mejja, Khaligraph Jones, Jose Chameleone, Spice Diana, Bruce Melodie and Barnaba Classic.
The mixmaster, who doubles up as the official DJ for bongo flava star Harmonize, says the title of the album is a call to his fans to choose love and empathy every day.
“I bring you a celebration, an album made with songs to carry you through every season, a friend to create lifelong memories with,” DJ Seven said.
The album features catchy songs catering to a wide range of musical palates by drawing inspiration from various African genres, including bongo flava, Afrobeats and amapiano.
Born in Bukoba, Tanzania, in 1988, DJ Seven Worldwide is a fast-rising independent artist. He joined the industry in 2014, working as a DJ and presenter on some of Tanzania’s leading radio and TV stations. In 2018, he teamed up with Harmonize to support the singer’s tours.
His debut song ‘Biriani’ featuring singeli star Mzee wa Bwax was released in 2019. This was followed by the hit ‘Tuna Waka’ featuring Young Lunya and Salmin Swaggz in 2020.
