Thomas Anders set for South Africa tour in June
German singer, songwriter and record producer Thomas Anders is set to tour South Africa where he will perform at the Grand Arena in Cape Town and Time Square in Pretoria on 6 and 8 June, respectively.
Anders boasts a career spanning over 40 years and a remarkable legacy in the music industry. As one-half of the German pop duo Modern Talking, he rose to international fame with chart-topping hits such as ‘You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul’, which reached No 1 in 81 countries.
With worldwide sales exceeding 125 million, Anders has earned over 420 gold and platinum records, along with prestigious awards including the Bambi, Goldene Europa and World Music Award.
Despite these achievements, Anders continues to evolve as an artist. From solo albums like Strong, which went platinum in Russia, to ventures into German-language music with albums like Pures Leben and Ewig mit Dir, he consistently demonstrates his versatility and dedication to artistic growth.
In collaboration with Florian Silbereisen, Anders achieved a sensational success with the album Das Album, reaching number one in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The duo’s chemistry and musical synergy captivated audiences, leading to sold-out halls and widespread acclaim.
In 2021 Anders returned to his solo endeavours with the album Cosmic, fulfilling the desires of his international fan base with an English-language release. Produced by Christian Geller, the album features the classic Modern Talking sound with a contemporary twist.
Anders’ multifaceted career also extends beyond music. In 2022, he embarked on a podcast journey, sharing insights into his life, experiences and reflections.
