Uganda: Beenie Gunter wins big at Buzz Teeniez Awards

Beenie Gunter, whose music journey began in 2014, pulled off a clean sweep of the Hottest Dancehall Artist, Hottest Collabo of the Year, Hottest Riddim/Song of the Year and Teeniez Hottest Dancehall Song categories.

The singer was followed closely by hip hop artist Fik Fameica who scooped three awards: Male Artist of the Year, Top Hood Rapper and Teeniez Hottest Hip Song.

Levixone, who won the Gospel Song of the Year Award against Mowzey Radio, Exodus and Wilson Bugembe, told music in Africa that winning the award was proof that he had garnered a bigger following.

“I first won the award in 2016,” he said. “So receiving it once more on Saturday was an indication that people are open to receiving the message that I carry in my songs. I would like other African countries to also experience that.”
