Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo wins Kids’ Choice Award

Hosted by US wrestler-turned-actor John Cena, the event announced Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo as the winner of the Favourite African Star category. Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Caster Semenya (South Africa), Davido (Nigeria), Emmanuella (Nigeria) and Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) were the other Africans competing in the same category. 

Kenzo, who recently scooped the Best African Entertainer Award at the 36th edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards in Miami, expressed his excitement on Facebook.

‘‘Congratulations Uganda, congratulations East Africa, congratulations Africa, congratulations Eddy Kenzo. Team Eddy Kenzo, we did it. I’m speechless,” he wrote.
