Amakye Dede

(Abrantie) Amakye Dede is a Ghanaian highlife musician. Nicknamed Iron Boy, he is said to personify Ghanaian highlife.

Dede was born on 5th January, 1958 at Agogo in Ghana, West Africa. The youngest of nine children, he is married with four children.

He ruled the highlife music scene in his country for nearly decades. And in 1994, Entertainment Critics & Reviewers Association of Ghana (ECRAG) bestowed on him an ECRAG Music Ambassadorship.

He has released more than a dozen albums and won numerous awards. He has toured most of Ghana and Nigeria, and has had performances in the west.
