CCIPPO

Chippo John Makwembo, best known by his stage name CCIPPO, is a Zambian born artists based in the U.K. He is a musician, composer, band-leader, vocal coach and a leading advocate of Afro-Gospel culture.

He is one of Zambia's first gospel artistes to compose and perform across the full Zed-Gospel spectrum from its Kalindula roots to rumba to modern Afro-pop. Over his ten year career as a music producer, he has greatly contributed to the establishment, shaping and growth of the his country's music industry. His productions directly saw the birthing of some of Zambia's most notable names in the music industry.

By creating and performing an expansive range of brilliant new music for himself, and other artistes, Ccippo has expanded the vocabulary for music and created a vital body of work that places him among Zambia's and quite possibly Africa's finest musicians.
