Deezer integrated with music analytics startup Songstats
Cross-platform music analytics startup Songstats recently announced that it had completely integrated Deezer into its service.
Deezer's extensive application programme interface (API) enables full integration including playlist positions, charts, follower numbers and popularity. After the initial aggregation, Songstats says it is now tracking data for more than 1 million songs and 200 000 playlists, with more added every day.
Songstats, which is now available to iOS, Android and desktop users, was launched by the makers of DJ tracklist database 1001Tracklists last month. The data tool delivers important insights in real time and lets artists, labels and other industry professionals track the progress of releases.
The service offers users a comprehensive picture of the performance of each musical work, enabling creators to save time and capitalise on the service. Subscribers are able to receive push notifications when their tracks are added to major playlists, reach new milestones, or are charted in different territories and genres.
The tool also enables custom artworks to be automatically generated and shared to Instagram, allowing artists more engagement with their fans.
In addition to Deezer, Songstats also tracks data from Spotify, Apple Music, Shazam, Beatport, Traxsource, iTunes, SoundCloud and 1001Tracklists.
The platform also announced additional new features on its platform including the new Activity Settings, which will allow users to set custom filters for their artist and label subscriptions to make the tool more helpful for users at different stages of their careers.
Activity Settings will apply across both the activity feed and push notifications and are unique to each member of a team. An additional toggle will let users filter options by recent tracks, limiting the feed to activities of songs released in the past three months.
Additionally, Songstats now tracks Beatport release charts as well as feature placements across all genres including banners, new releases, staff picks and hype picks. A free one-month trial is now on offer.
