Call for applications: Princeton University arts fellowships
Princeton University in the US is accepting applications from early-career artists for its 2021-23 Princeton Arts Fellowships.
The successful applicants will receive an annual stipend of $84 000. The fellows spend two consecutive academic years (September 1 to July 1) at Princeton University, and formal teaching is expected. The normal work assignment will be to teach one course each semester subject to approval by the dean of the faculty.
Fellows may also be asked to take on an artistic assignment, such as directing a play or creating a dance with students.

Eligibility
The applicant must be:
- An artist whose achievements have been recognised as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching.
- Willing to pursue academic excellence in diverse, multicultural and inclusive settings.
Requirements
- A CV.
- A personal statement of 500 words about how you would hope to use the two years of the fellowship at this moment in your career.
- Contact information for three references.
- Work samples are requested to be submitted online (i.e. writing sample, images of your work, video links to performances, etc.).
Applicants should note:
- Non-US citizens are welcome to apply. Holders of a PhD degree from Princeton University are not eligible.
- The fellowship cannot be used to fund work leading to a PhD or any other advanced degree.
- Applicants can only apply for the Princeton Arts Fellowship twice in a lifetime.
The application deadline is 15 September 2020.
"The Princeton Arts Fellows finalists interviews are scheduled for the week of 15 December 2020," Princeton University said. "We will be following university and government guidelines for COVID-19 throughout the 2020-21 academic year. Should these dates or in-person interview format change, we will update our website and notify the finalists of the changes."
