SA: Fuzigish and Nomadic Orchestra to play Next Fest
South African punk rockers Fuzigish and brass band Nomadic Orchestra will perform at the inaugural Next Festival at the Woodstock Brewery in Cape Town on 16 June.
The concert will coincide with Youth Day in South Africa. The two bands will be joined by artists working with Just Music, Mongrel Records and Sit the Folk Down (STFD) Records – including Ruff Majik, Kayleigh Bell, Stanley Sibande, SonofOld and West Coast Wolves.
“If Next Music was the mum, her three kids would be Just Music, the diligent, straight-A student, Mongrel Records, the angsty, rambunctious teen, and the over-thinking, analytical music nerd STFD Records. Just like any mum though, she loves all her kids the same and celebrates their differences,” the organisers said.
The concert comes on the heels of Fuzigish’s eponymous album released in April.
The Doors will open at 11am SAST, and live music will begin about 1pm.
