SA: First AfroFeast Music and Food Festival set for Bloemfontein
The inaugural South African AfroFeast Music and Food Festival will take place at Ramblers' Club in Bloemfontein, Free State, on 19 November.
The festival line-up, expected to feature some of South Africa’s biggest artists, will be announced on 20 October.
Music and food lovers alike are expected to immerse themselves in a multisensory experience as they indulge in unique meals at the Food Village and a range of premium beer, ciders, cocktails and spirits at the Beer Garden.
Offering a taste of live music and local cuisine, the innovative event seeks to promote tourism in the Free State Province as well as market it as a diverse, multicultural convergence point primarily catering to Sotho, Tswana, Xhosa, Afrikaans and English speakers. The province is strategically situated on the border of five other provinces such as Gauteng, Northern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, North-West and Eastern Cape.
“We are excited to launch what will be our flagship annual event,” KM Holdings director Kholofelo Maleka said. “Hospitality is at the core of our business and we look forward to providing a well curated experience that both patrons and vendors will cherish for years to come.”
AfroFeast is a lifestyle brand owned by marketing and events management conglomerate KM Holdings focuses on giving patrons the best experience outside of the confines of their daily routines through music, food and culture.
The unveiling of the annual event follows a soft launch held last year hosted by TV and media personality Somizi Mhlongo.
Tickets to the event will be available after the line-up is announced.
