Malik Gita

Born to the Kullid community of Eersterust in Pretoria, South Africa, Malik Gita is a visionary and prolific artist, aspiring director, and business owner. He delivers raw, authentic, soul driven Hip Hop, with a unique blend of creative expression and reality. With his artistic fusion of Kasi (South African Street Culture) and other multicultural experiences, Malik’s main goal is to manifest the soul mission to find its full potential. His motto, “It’s about the journey not the destination.”

After his teen years in California and 6 years in the United States Marine Corps, Malik returned to his roots in South Africa and delved full fledge into his music career. In collaboration with Goliath Music and the October 2017 launch of Eersterust FM radio station, Malik is not only an artist but he works hard at making sure that his music, community and the culture in the community is heard, all with a solid passion to put awareness to the everyday struggles of humanity, working on projects to inform and educate people of all walks of life.

His current single “Way Alright” in collaboration with Magikel, SoJay, and Baby G shot to over 52,000 spins worldwide in few short weeks. The mix of sounds from American, South African and Nigerian artists combines afrobeats and rap to shape this Hip Hop masterpiece. Malik Gita has been hard at work in the studio and just released his debut EP titled "The Kasi Mixtape, Vol. 1." Listeners can expect nothing short of greatness as he mixes his raw, powerful sound and dope lyrics to bring you a taste of real Hip Hop.
