NewsDay is Zimbabwe's independent daily newspaper that was established in 2003. It is based in Harare and its print publication hit the streets on 4 June 2010. The daily is owned by Alpha Media Holdings (AMH), an independent media organization that also owns two weeklies and two dailies. NewsDay competes against other dailies such as the The Herald, a state owned organization, Daily News and The Chronicle, also owned by the government.
It is one of the leading publications that have been reportedly credited for providing a complete coverage of the country’s arts and culture sectors. The publication has a specialized section designed to feature news and analysis to do with the country’s music industry from reporters such as Silence Charumbira, Tinashe Sibanda, SImbarashe Manhango and many others.
Apart from covering the arts, NewsDay provides media coverage on politics, agriculture, business, sports and many more.
