Open call: Ghana Music Awards 2024
The organisers of the Ghana Music Awards (GMAs) are accepting submissions ahead of the 25th edition of the annual event.
Put together by Charterhouse Productions Limited, this event honours remarkable musical accomplishments within the country and across the continent, recognising excellence in diverse genres such as highlife, Afropop, hiplife and traditional music.
The event is traditionally sponsored by telecoms giant Vodafone and held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
The call applies to Ghanaian musicians who have released songs between 1 January and 31 December 2023. All submissions must be made online.
To participate, artists or their representatives can complete entry forms here.
Entries will close on 29 February.
At last year’s awards, hip hop act Black Sherif, the night’s biggest winner, converted five of his nominations into victories, sweeping the gongs for Best Hip Hop Song, Collaboration of the Year, Best Music Video, Most Popular Song of the Year and Artist of the Year.
