Call for abstracts: Chitoliro Cultural and Creative Industries Conference 2024
Creatives around the world are invited to submit entries for the inaugural Chitoliro Cultural and Creative Industries Conference 2024, a pre-event to the UMP Festival in Mangochi, Malawi, from 25 to 28 October.
The conference, themed Creative Industries & Sustainable Development, will be held at the Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre on 23 and 24 October, with a hybrid format available online.
As a first-of-its-kind event, the Chitoliro Cultural and Creative Industries Conference aims to be a dynamic forum where artists, cultural practitioners, policymakers and academics from across the globe will converge to explore the vital role of creative industries in sustainable development. The event will feature:
- Panel discussions
- Keynote speeches
- Skills-building workshops
- Poster and oral presentations
- Music and arts showcases
- Networking sessions
Key themes:

- Presentation title.

- A 150-word biography.
