Win tickets to Bassline Fest 2019!
Music In Africa is giving away 10 double tickets so you and a friend can experience the 2019 edition of Bassline Fest on Constitution Hill in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 25 May.
Nigerian artists Asa and Mr Eazi will headline the Africa Day event. They will be joined by Dobet Gnahore (Ivory Coast), Blinky Bill (Kenya), Lindigo (Reunion), Sobantwana (South Africa), The Soil’s Buhlebendalo (South Africa), Mandla Mlangeni & the Tune Recreation Committee (South Africa), Alibombo (Columbia), Maia & the Big Sky (Kenya), Granmah (Mozambique) and Isabella Novella (Mozambique).
How to enter
To be in with a chance of winning a ticket for you and a friend, all you have to do is answer the following question:
- Which two Nigerian artists are headlining this year’s Bassline Fest?
Submit your answers with the following personal details:
- First name
- Last Name
- Phone number
- Country of residence
- ID/passport number
All entries should be sent to competitions@musicinafrica.net.
The competition runs from Tuesday 14 May 2019 to Thursday 16 May 2019 (12pm GMT). The winners will be announced on Friday 17 May 2019.

Competition rules
- The competition runs from Tuesday 14 May 2019 to Thursday 16 May 2019 (12pm GMT).
- Competition entrants must be over 18 years to enter.
- You can only enter the competition once; multiple entries will be disqualified.
- To be eligible you have to complete all fields required. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
- Festival tickets includes access to the festival only. Winners must make their way to and from the festival site. Winners will have to arrange for their own accommodation and foot any other relevant expenses, for example border fees.
- For entrants outside of South Africa, this competition is only open to holders of a valid passport.
- Prizes are not transferable and are not negotiable
- No prize shall be exchangeable for money.
- No employee or board member of the Music In Africa Foundation, members of their immediate family or employees of partner organisations may enter.
- If a winner is unable to take up a prize for any reason, or if the Music In Africa Foundation has not been able, after making reasonable efforts, to make contact with the winner, the Music In Africa Foundation reserves the right to award that prize (without notice to the first winner chosen) to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen shall not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever. The Music In Africa Foundation shall not have any liability in such eventuality.
- Automated entries, bulk entries or third-party entries will be disqualified.
- Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above rules will result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
