DJ Twist
Bio
DJ Twist (real name Jose Afonso Maria Joao) first entered the music industry as a radio DJ with a kizomba show on Base FM. The show made him realize that music was what he wanted to do with his life. His career as a DJ took off when he started playing at his own house parties and other live events. He is currently studying radio production at the College of the Arts in Windhoek. He is also the presenter for local entertainment TV show on NBC TV, ‘Whatagwan’, and hosts ‘The Empty Fridge’ on Fresh FM.
He recently entertained contestants in the ‘Big Brother Africa – Hotshots’ reality TV show with Namibian hits such as ‘Boom Boom’ by Freeda, Gazza’s ‘Tufike apa’, ‘Omalodu-yemi alade’ by Blacksheep and ‘Nuka’ by The Dogg.
