Soul Raiders Band
Bio
Soul Raiders Band is a former college band that was founded in 2001 at University of Malawi – Chancellor College. It is one of the country's popular music group to emerge from the country's ghetto outskirts. It is made up of seven members, three are original members (former Umbwi Secondary School mates) and the other four joined later. Band members include Prince Martin (Bass and Voices), Suzi Marcus (Drums and Voices), Monty Manyozo (Keyboards and Melodies), Wangu Chinyoza (Bass and Drums), Bless Mdala (Rhythm Piano) and Chiko (Guitars).
It was influenced by renowned artists such as Ijahman, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, Morgan Heritage, Fred McGregor and Luciano.
In August 2014, they released a 13-track compilation album entitled 'Reggae Revolution' their second music project after 'Angels' (2012).
