DJ Spinall

Bio

DJ Spinall is a DJ based in Lagos, Nigeria. Born Sodamola Oluseye Desmond, he holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and learnt DJing via online tutorials.
He has been affiliated with several stations in Lagos including Raypower FM and Eko FM. And he is the official Beat FM, Lagos DJ. In 2013, he signed up with Don Jazzy’s MAVIN Records.

Popularly called ‘The Cap’ for his trademark appearance with a hat at events, he is the official DJ for the weekly music industry event in Nigeria ‘Industry Night’. (The CAP has also come to mean Crazy Azz Party.) DJ Spinall is the first African DJ to perform at the SXSW Festival in USA and has toured Europe and parts of Nigeria.

Ahead of a forthcoming album, DJ Spinall has released a few singles, featuring such artists as Burna Boy, M.I, Olamide and Sean Tizzle.
