Mr Nomoreloss

Bio

Nomoreloss is the stage name of Olumuyiwa Osinuga. Born in Lagos, the young Osinuga developed an appreciation for classical music and then learned from jazz saxophonist Kunle Ajayi. He graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University (then Ogun State University) with a degree in Economics. Sometimes a comedian, his stage name is derived from an imaginative backward reading of Solomon, his middle name.
Initially a rapper, Nomoreloss found some success as a singer, hitting the limelight with the songs ‘Iyawo Asiko’ (a remix of an Orlando Owoh song) and ‘Ololufe’. The latter song had received a reply from singer Wande Coal.

Nomoreloss took a break from music after the death of his mother in 2006, leading the artist to a state of depression. Later he learnt his father had cancer. This spurred him to write the song ‘Ojuri’. The song achieved a level of success.

A core of Nomoreloss’s audience may know him as a judge on the reality/talent hunt show MTN Project Fame. He also had a weekly show in Lagos and has directed a few music videos. In 2014, he announced a record deal with Tate Music Group and an album is expected in 2015. Ahead of the album 'Beautiful Things', he has released the single 'Kite'.
