Afolaranmi Olaoluwa Abiodun aka Afowoslide (Abbey Trombone) is a Nigerian seasoned musicologist, a songwriter, a prominent musician in the scene of the Modern day Nigerian Music Industry. His Concept and conceptualization of Music gave birth to Afrocentric form of music. He blends his unique and beautiful tone on Trombone as an instrument of Expression, also with his Abinibi Groovy Band to portray African Music to the globe.

EARLY LIFE AND CAREER
Afolaranmi Olaoluwa Abiodun aka Afowoslide (Abbey Trombone) started his music career as a youngster in a local church here in Lagos, Nigeria.
At a very early age of 11 he displayed a prodigious talent and skills in playing the Guitar and the Drums.

Subsequently, he took a passionate interest to play the Trombone as his favourite instrument. This bears eloquent testimony and influence in his music as he dazzled the audience with his unique and pretty tone using the trombone with his Abinibi Groovy Band.

He has featured prominently in major events, recorded and performed alongside some reputable musicians across the country, such as Tiwa Savage, Praiz, Lekan Babalola (Twice Grammy Award Winner), Patoranking, Ade Bantu, Charly Boy, Kola Ogunkoya, Felabration at Afrika Shrine, HRM. Prof. Laz Ekwueme, World Tourism Day, etc. Some of the prominent live music performances are highlighted below:

Undoubtedly, his kind of Music is educative and didactic in nature leading to social integration and reform, bringing African Music to the fora and a point of influence to the global world.

His recent debut single titled "Omo Eiipe Dagba" translated from Yoruba language literally means (A child grows within a twinkle of an eye) was released in July, 2020. He will be releasing few singles and debut album of 7 tracks in the year 2022, and the Album is titled ARA.

Afowoslide is also the founder of 13-piece group Abinibi Groovy Band and the convener of Afrocentric Rhythms Concert in Nigeria. He has performed in various musical events in Nigeria as a whole.
