Blueverest

The BLUEVEREST project was born in 2017 in Douala, Cameroon. Michel Ekombe and Marta Wilgosz meet for the first time at a cabaret. She used to be a cultural sponsor and organized many concerts with Master Niko Ewey and his choir. He was a drummer in cabarets but as a child he excelled in singing. She was enchanted by Michel's voice and sense of rhythm, he by his ephemeral spirit and his musical sensitivity. They first decide to rehearse covers for cabarets but very quickly they are attracted by their own sounds, melodies and lyrics that accompany this explosion of musical creativity. The tone is ton – a marriage between African rhythms and European harmonies. A theme focused on human beings, love, orphanages, death and life, ancestors.
