Chilli Wawaye

Fonyuy claudette Mbinkar by artist name CHILLI hails from the north west region of Cameroon. She groomed her singing talent at her local church and school choirs as of the age of 10 in Kumbo and later as a back up singer for artist like   where her talents were Debra Debs , Julio Tresor, Mel nova and many others. At the university level she joined the university of Yaounde 1 choir Glorious Voices where she had access to various state events and high profile personalities, the young talent went back to her roots researched and unveiled the rich cultural heritage of her region, unlike most young artists who emulate western culture she resurrects ancient melodies that women sang to air out their grievances. After her degree she released her first album titled MY HERITAGE  February 2014 and a second album later in 2018 BIR WOR in under the patronage of the Colourful Dream Foundation with a several singles released till date. CHILLl has a vision to represent, valorise, and promote the unique north west culture on a global platform. As a registered artist of the ministry of arts and culture she has performed and represented her region in various state events. She stands out as the Nso cultural ambassador honored with the title as YA YESUM YOV and runs the foundation where she seeks to give hope
