The first Aswan Festival of African Music and Song ( 15– 22) January 2023
The first artistic cultural activity organized by the Egyptian Council for Culture and Science Foundation Organizing the Festival - a cultural non-profit scientific institution
Newly established on 9/23/2019 with number 66696 - Giza Administration
The festival consists of:
-- 12 African musical bands performing 32 concerts over the week of the festival in open theaters in Aswan (Pharaonic temples, museums, museums, public parks, indigo island, major hotels, theaters on the Nile River in Aswan ) From ( 15– 22) January 2023 among the local and international audiences
Each group offers a morning party and an evening party
And the participating teams from countries: Kenya - South Sudan - Tanzania - Sudan - Nigeria - Ghana - Algeria - Senegal - Uganda - Tunisia - Côte d'Ivoire
2- A concert band from outside the African continent, guest of honor of the festival
From Brazil
3- A global and local advertising and marketing campaign for the festival
4- International and local television stations to transport and cover the festival's activities
5- International and local journalists and news agencies to attend the festival
6- Honoring the ancient African and Egyptian musicians and singer
7 - Events on the sidelines of the festival
a - A workshop for singing and musical talents from Aswan, supervised by the great artist / Hany Mehanna, the honorary president of the festival.
b - An African workshop for the manufacture of some African machines provided by the Southern Sudan division, which manufactures their machines themselves from natural materials
c - A workshop for African clothes and accessories with Nubian accessories and artifact
It is supervised by designer, fashion accessories, Professor / Abeer Al-Ansar
d - African handicraft products exhibition
e- The day of planting African fruit seedlings on the island of tropical plants in Aswan through the participating delegations coming from their countries with some seedlin
To plant it in the Eyptian lands as a kind of rapprochement and fraternal brotherly African peoples
F - Memory of Africa with audio and video on the oldest musicians and singers in the history of Africa and supervised by Dr. / Marwa Bashir from Sudan
