Haiku Haiku
Bio
In isolation, electronica and classical are defined genres that audiences are familiar with. Placed side-by-side, and weighted with equal importance, they create something new, undefined, and adventurous. This is Haiku Haiku, borne from artfully weaving the synthetic soundscapes of experienced producer Sean Ross with the resonant melodies and textures of violin, played by classically trained violinist Caley Garden.
This singular tapestry of textures and timbres brings an exceptional electronic soundscape to life before audiences’ eyes and ears. Their audiences experience an unparalleled palette of responses from dance, to contemplation, and even inspiration. Haiku Haiku have performed on a variety of stages, from festivals, to clubs, and concert halls, conjuring sounds that resonate with introspective listeners and enthusiastic dancers alike.
Their music is an exploration of auditory possibilities that transcend the limiting definition of bridging the divide between two disparate genres. In the world of Haiku Haiku, synths are strings and strings are synths and music is about play, discovery, and going with whatever vibe their collaboration inspires.
Haiku Haiku have performed at venues throughout the Western Cape, and at festivals including Retreat Yourself, The Search Festival, The Commons Fest. They released their first EP in 2022 and are in the process of writing their first full-length album.
