Hamilton Chambela
Bio
Hamilton Chambela, a Mozambican, graduated in industrial electrical systems from the Industrial Institute of Maputo, began his professional career as an artistic agent in 2011 at Cotonete Records. Today he is the artistic agent of the following artists: Iveth, Nandele, Tanselle, The Mute Band, Melita Matsinhe and Lalah Mahigo.
In 2014 she teamed up with the Mozambican poet and writer Énia Lipanga to create the company Palavra & Palavras Eventos.
With Palavra & Palavras Eventos, it holds literature and poetry events with prominence. He goes beyond his passion for culture, he is also passionate about the image and has embraced the profession of photographer since 2009.
Palavra & Palavras Eventos is a service provider company specialized in consulting, planning, organization and execution of events: Social, corporate, sports, cultural, weddings, graduations, fairs and exhibitions, lectures, inaugurations, product and service launches, among others. For each project, they propose a creative and original solution with high quality execution.
ONGOING PROJECTS
Palavras São Palavras
The project is an event created and organized by the company Palavra & Palavras Eventos. This project aims to host an event where people meet to express themselves or to express themselves artistically. The soirée can involve poetry, book reading, acoustic music, film, photography, dance, and also other forms of art such as painting, crafts, and theater.
Moz Slam
Moz Slam is a Poetry Battle, a practice around the word that is based on several rules that involve the performance and original poetry of its participants, with time limited to 3 minutes for their presentations.
These performances are then judged by selected members of the audience or by a panel of judges consisting of five people, who score each performance from 0 to 10, with the highest and lowest scores being excluded.
There are no appropriate styles or themes; There are several possible languages, which vary according to the diversity of the participants who are part of this movement. The Moz Slam aims to attract, in addition to poets, spectators and writers who often have little intimacy with "traditional poetry".
Hamilton is also the coordinator of the Watana Festival, a socio-cultural animation festival, involving the different arts present in the country; Among them: Literature, Photography, Sculpture, Painting, Ceramics, Basketry, Gastronomy, Hairstyles, Masks of M'siro Beauties, Dance, Music, Theater, Juggling and African Cinema.
The festival takes place on the island of Mozambique, located in the province of Nampula, in the northern part of Mozambique.
The festival has several activities and a stage distributed in different parts of the Island of Mozambique, with emphasis on the main stage called Zena Bacar at Fortaleza São Sebastião.
