iSandi
Bio
iSandi is a South African singer, songwriter, composer and an instrumentalist ; an artist who also advocates the promotion of music literacy, integration, appreciation and its functionality. Her style fulfils the mind, mood and the soul, reducing the common stereotype that music only serves for dance purposes within the popular culture. She has recently released her first EP titled -Intyatyambo.
Her- folk pop-like sound renders a beautiful combination of western or rather Indie and African influence which makes it relatable to the ear across different cultural tastes around the world.
ISandi has shared stages with the likes of popular bands such as the Muffinz; South African music legend Vusi Mahlasela; Bongezile Mabandla ; Urban Village.
The multi- instrumentalist, iSandi began her music career as a music tutor and a producer for functional music ( Film, yoga and stock music ) in 2005. She has since been involved in different musical programmes such as those that advocate music literacy in schools- primarily in various schools of Johannesburg including the recorder/ flute, classical guitar, harmonica and piano.
