JULIEY MUMIA

JULIEY MUMIA is an sensational afro-fusion artist based in Mombasa, Kenya.She started releasing her music in  2019, with her known single sifiki.Her unique sound has been discovered and there is so much uniqueness in her sultry voice.

She thrives in writing in Swahili and fuses with English and luhya languages. Juliey has so far released six songs, with the latest , Mama Yo that will be part of her new album, Injira, meaning the Way set to be released later this year. Her influences are Asa, Susan Owiyo, Nina Ogot, Yebba and Tracy Chapman, among others.. As a social agent I want to adress the societal themes and issues and spread positive messages to people all over the world. This Residency will be the beginning of my career out if the my hometown, I want to mentor other young people in the Coast, and create live gig where we can encourage original music being played everywhere.
