Kimberly Oxide
Bio
Kimberly Oxide is the manager of the Department "Research & Development" in MOMIX (the first music market in Mauritius). Her main focus is the development of MOMIX through the establishment of new structures and programmes to promote the mobility of cultural actors, the creative and cultural industries, the structuring and professionalisation of cultural actors, among others. She also works on the elaboration of International Cultural and Cooperation Agreements with different territories.
She is an MPhil holder at the University of Mauritius on Languages in the Cultural Industries of Mauritius. She is pursuing her PhD on the same topic, mainly through the observation of the sector of Performing Arts and the sector of Music. She is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Mauritius, teaching sociolinguistics (French and Creole language) at undergraduate levels. Her academic background enriches her Research responsibilities in MOMIX.
She is involved in both the private and public sector in Mauritius.
