Lioness Afreeka
Bio
Lioness Afreeka started her musical journey in late 1999 in Kenya. She performed in a popular Kenyan group called Big Matata and toured locally and internationally. She recorded her first album in 2005. In 2006 the band traveled to Italy for a series of concerts where they remained to start a new life. Through challenges Lioness Afreeka maintained the passion for music and was destined to open acts for Mikal Rose,Gentleman among Kenyan and Tanzania celebrities like Nameless and Diamond Platnumz. While releasing singles ,Lioness Afreeka was on focus and aimed for higher heights. Her comeback was felt in 2018 when she released Roar, Nakereka and official videos ; also collaborating with Kenyan producers on different riddims. Lioness Afreeka has 2 EPs Afro Reggae Mania and Amkowa both available on all digital platforms. She has also collaborated with South Africa and Malawi on riddim projects.
Lioness Afreeka relocated one more time to Sweden IN 2020 during the pandemic ,to start anew. She continues to spread the good vibes of music to the world, She already performed in Klubb Mariama (Stockholm) on 13th november 2021,a series of performances with Konstull organization in Stockholm. She is scheduled for a self organized performance on the 19th of May 2023 at Lilla Wien, performed at the Vasterås City Festival on the 29th June,16th september at African Jazz Club in Stockholm,Jaba Festival 23rd Dec in Kenya and Future Echoes Festival 22nd March 2024 in Norrkoping.
Lioness Afreeka is scheduled for a series of performances towards the end of this summer 2024.
