Mkobass

Mkobass is a Tanzania jazz bassist fusion songwriter percussionist and composer. His name is Abasi Haji Mkomwa. Since his beginnings music has been an essential part of his life as he was thought traditional instruments while he was a child. His career started in 2007 with the group called Parapanda theater lub trust where he was a guitarist, percussionist, dancer, actor, acrobatics and bass player which lead him to play around Tanzania in shows like CHUANO perfomance and MWALUBADU performance. In 2014 he left parapanda theater lub trust and joined CAC(cultural arts centre ) in 2015 where he was a singer songwriter dancer bassist guitarist and percussionist which lead him to play in festivals around East Africa , festivals like Bayimba festival in Uganda, Doadoa festival in Uganda, Sauti za busara festival in Zanzibar and many local performances around Tanzania. He is working on his solo album which is yet to be released.
