Mykebou
Bio
A talented vocalist, producer and songwriter, Mykebou (real name Michael V Bolgent) was born in Michika and became interested in music while singing in church since the tender age of 9. Growing up, he listened to the music of Kirk Franklyn, R Kelly, Brandy,
Mary-Mary, Usher and Whitney Houston, who all helped to develop his vocal style and his ear for a well-written song.
Without much industry exposure, Mykebou felt it wasn’t quite his time to hit the A-list. The way to fame seem narrow, so he continued with church concerts and some local talent show auditions. If you ask him about his feelings toward not being selected to compete at top industry auditions, he will openly tell you that it simply was not his time, and that day will soon come. Mykebou is new, innovative and unique to the Nigerian music industry because of his camo-style, in addition to his outgoing yet humble personality and his unique penmanship and harmonies.
