Prodiiiiiii

Born Prince Tshepo Vuzi Seshigwana in Botshabelo (South Africa), Prodiiiiiii specializes in the Hip Hop subgenre of Motswako made popular by the likes of the late HHP, Khuli Chana and Cassper Nyovest.

The rapper started his rap performance career busking trains in Pretoria between 2015 and 2016. This led to a formation of a touring group called FlameNgo Backpackers the following year. It is during this time that the musician did a Coast To Coast tour alongside the collective from June to July of 2017. The tour spanned 5 cities (eThekwini, Makhanda, George, Stellenbosch and Cape Town).

After the tour Prodiiiiiii got involved with Black Labone, a weekly Live music event in the heart of Pretoria. He was the MC, Performer, Sound Engineer (2017- 2019), and part of the organizing committee from August of ‘17 until September of 2022.

He has since appeared on Festival stages within the boarders of South Africa that include Homecoming Africa 2019, My African Wonderland 2019 & Smoking Dragon 2019, 2022 and The Music Imbizo 2024.

Summer 2022 saw the performer doing a 3 city tour in the UK that lasted until February ‘23. Performing at the notable venues that include Band On The Wall, SOUP in Manchester,Nights Tale's Loft in London, The Bongo Club in Edinburgh and The Warehouse Project alongside SNO a Manchester based DJ/Selector. While there he has opened for German based Tax Free Records on their Manchester stop.

The rapper is currently a radio show host for Pitori Originals Thursdays on Tshwane FM 93.6 on Thursday nights from 7pm to 10pm alongside Kgosigadi_dj

Musical projects

Sgandi JO! EP

The EP is 4 songs deep and was released on the 21st of June in 2021 with a short documentary & a music video for Straata (Mo Ngwana’s Song) supporting the project. Sgandi JO! Got positive reviews in Pitori Rap spaces. Avalon O’Henley wrote “his voice was made for storytelling” in her review of the Extended Play on a popular music blog Texx and the City.

Sgandi Via Pinky’s

January of 2022 saw Prodiiiiiii work on his full length offering. The album features 9 songs and features saxophonist De Arabian Sax as a constant in a cinematic sound scape curated by Thabiso Thabethe. The project was released on the 28th of January.

Sgandi Rap

In August of 2021 Prodiiiiiii formed a trio with composer and pianist Bongani Givethanks & drummer Mpenduko Sondlo. The trio recorded a 4-track EP under the moniker, Jazzed Out Trio. The project was released as a Bandcamp exclusive under Mvumo Productions owned by Bongani GiveThanks.

House 33 Days (Live album)

On this project Prodiiiiiii Performed some of his already released music in honor of House 33, an artist movement and showcase platform that was formed by TUT Arts Campus student in the period of 2014 to 2017.
