Bio
ProVoice (born Lameck Mwenebanda on 8 July 1993) is a Malawian reggae-dancehall artist based in Lilongwe.
ProVoice entered the music industry in 2011. Hi first break came two years later after the release of the singles 'Love Fever' and 'Rainbow'. The two songs enjoyed airplay in Malawi, Nigeria, Costa Rica and Jamaica. A collaboration with Nyanda of Jamaican reggae duo Brick & Lace followed on a remix of her hit single 'Slippery When Wet'.
In 2014, ProVoice released 'PokoPoko' on which he featured 2013 MAMU Awards Hip Hop Artist of the Year Gwamba. Another international collaboration, this time with Jamaica's Ras Zion, followed on the song 'Church Mouse'.
In 2015, ProVoice released only one single, titled 'Namwali', as he took time off to learn more about the music business and to perfect his craft. Nonetheless, 'Namwali' was well-received by local artists and DJs.
A year later, ProVoice released the 'Warrior' EP. He released his debut studio album 'Knock It 1966' in early October 2018. The album is dedicated to his father, who was born in 1996.
ProVoice has shared the stage with international acts such as Busy Signal (Sand Music Festival 2015), Exco Levi at (Sand Music Festival 2015), Awilo Longomba (Sand Music Festival 2017), Kenyatta Hill (Sand Music Festival 2018), Culture (Sand Music Festival 2018), Amara Brown (Sand Music Festival 2018), Cassper Nyovest (Ovation Food Festival 2017) and top local artists such as Black Missionaries, LuLu, Lucius Banda, Sally Nyundo, Nepman, Gwamba, Kell Kay, Blakjack, Martse, Janta, Sangie, Saint, Blasto, NesNes, Barry One, Chycoon, Malinga Mafia Mafunyeta and Dictator.
ProVoice works with Big Vision Entertainment, which is owned by his Producer Cuff B Jimz.
