Alice Lambert Rutayisire, artistically known as Rluta, is a Rwandan singer and songwriter specialising in the Afropop and Afro R&B genres. Born on March 14, 2000, in Tanzania, Rluta was raised in Rwanda, where she discovered her profound connection with music. From a tender age, she found solace and a unique expression through music. Growing up in a Christian household with two older siblings, Rluta was predominantly exposed to gospel music during her formative years, moulding her early musical palate and influencing her artistic development.
Rluta embarked on her musical journey at just nine years old, joining a choir and thereby nurturing her innate vocal talent. Her transition to the professional music scene came in 2021 with the release of her debut single 'Nobody Else', a milestone that signified the commencement of her promising career in the music industry.
Rluta's musical tapestry is woven with vibrant threads of Afropop and Afro-R&B, enriched by her exposure to various musical genres. Following this milestone, Rluta released two new singles: "Hold My Hand" in February 2024 and “A Monet of Silence” in April 2024. These releases have further illustrated her evolving artistry and musical prowess, solidifying her presence in the industry.
