Tofa Jaxx

Hailing from the picturesque coastal town of Dar Es Salam in Tanzania, Tofa Jaxx (Christopher Dominic Kihwele) is not just an artist; he is a young sonic architect, seamlessly blending genres and breaking boundaries in the realm of music. His eclectic style encompasses R&B, Neo Soul, Afro Fusion, Bongo Flava, and Pop, earning him the title of a "genre-blending maestro" according to Anyiko Owoko, East Africa's leading Entertainment and Music Publicist.

Tofa has emerged as a trailblazer, making significant strides in his career as a songwriter, film scorer, and performer. His work spans the continents, as he has recorded and toured across Africa and internationally. Tofa's talent has not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by when he opened for Joss Stone during one of her “Total World Tour '' shows in Zanzibar, his nomination for one of Africa's most prestigious awards, AFRIMA. And powerful soundtrack "Mozizi" for the award-winning animated film "Mozizi," produced by Tanzania's esteemed film house, Kijiweni Productions.

"Restart," one of Tofa's compelling creations, soared to the number one spot on Namibia Radio charts for an impressive three weeks.

Beneath Tofa's warm and shy exterior lies a reservoir of immense talent waiting to be explored. Having just completed his second Europe & UK tour that kicked off in February 2023, Tofa enchanted audiences with his magnetic stage presence and soul-stirring performances. He is currently back home in Tanzania working on a new album.
